Bags were packing and off we went to Rome on the 18th December. First part was to drive to Milan and stay with Doc and Barb (and Jackson and Alec) for a couple of nights, then it was a flight to Rome.
We (Mum and Dad) stupidly decided to head to Milan 'the back way' and we got 2hrs into our trip and found the road was closed due to snow!!! so back we came, THEN we decided to take the RN (more of a back way) to Nice instead of the Autoroute, which was an extra 100km... Not sure still if that was a good idea or not, but what should have been a 5.5hr trip turned into 10+ hrs. This is what we discovered along the way!!
